Legal Awareness Programme for Migrant Workers Held at Banpur.
Khordha :-While Banpur and Chilika block areas of Khordha district have the largest number of migrant workers, it is seen that the workers are facing a lot of problems at different times.
In this regard, an awareness programme has been organised by the Banpur Taluk Legal Service Committee in the premises of the Bheteswar Panchayat office on Wednesday. TLSC Chairman and Banpur Senior Civil Judge Amaresh Mohapatra presided over the meeting and JMFC Snataki Dash,Block Chairman Amarendra Ranasingh, IIC Ramesh Kumar Debata , Sarpanch Sabitri Bhola, Bar Association Secretary Ranjan Kumar Bedamata, Front Office Retainer Padmaja Patnaik, Balugaon ALO Soumyaranjan Kar prominently attended. On this occasion, Judge Mr. Mohapatra discussed in detail the various legal rights and benefits of the migrant workers. Accordingly, ALO Mr. Kar requested the workers to register their names in the Labour Office.A large number of male and female migrant workers participated in the said programme.
